The People Around the Table

A few days ago, I was convinced that a particular idea was the right one. Fortunately, I asked for other opinions. There is a quiet strength in surrounding yourself with the right people not those who agree with everything you say, but those who understand the vision and still have the courage to challenge it. When you are building something meaningful, agreement is not always what you need most. Sometimes, what matters is a different perspective, a question you had not considered, or an observation that helps you see beyond your own assumptions.

Every decision carries multiple layers. Product, audience, timing, communication, experience. Looking at all of them from a single point of view is not only difficult; it can also be limiting. That is why people with sound judgment are invaluable. People who contribute more than execution, who bring perspective, understand both detail and context, and know how to protect the essence of an idea while helping it evolve.

Growth rarely depends on a strong idea alone. It also depends on the people who help shape it. I feel fortunate to work alongside collaborators, partners and teams who do more than accompany the journey, they elevate it. The most important decisions are rarely made in isolation, and often the difference between a good decision and an exceptional one is sitting quietly on the other side of the table.

Perhaps the real question is not whether someone shares your vision, but whether they care enough to challenge it when it matters most.
