Corinna Dentoni: A Personal Sense of Style
From Italian influences and everyday favourites to the details she appreciates in men’s fashion, Corinna Dentoni shares her personal approach to style.
Corinna Dentoni has always enjoyed both sides of fashion. There are days when sportswear feels like the natural choice, and others when she would rather put on high heels and dress for the evening. For her, one doesn’t have to replace the other. “I love going from one extreme to the other! During the day, I’m often in sporty clothes because they’re comfortable and suit my lifestyle. But I also love dressing up, putting on high heels and wearing something really elegant.” She likes the way clothes can express different parts of her personality. Even when she’s dressed casually, she wants to feel refined. And while that hasn’t changed, her taste in clothes certainly has.
What I enjoy most is that an outfit can express different sides of my personality. Even when I keep things casual, I like to feel refined.
When she was younger, brighter colours were a bigger part of her wardrobe. She enjoyed experimenting with them, whereas today she finds herself drawn to sand, beige and warm neutrals. She has also become more interested in fabrics, particularly pure cashmere and silk. Her sister has been an important influence on her sense of style. “My sister has always been an inspiration to me. She has an innate elegance, something almost regal, that I’ve always admired.” There is also the influence of Italy, where she grew up surrounded by an appreciation for beautiful clothes, craftsmanship and quality materials. It has shaped the way she thinks about getting dressed, with particular attention to fit and the smaller details. “For me, elegance is often in the details: the way something fits, the quality of the fabric and how you put everything together.”

Still, Corinna doesn’t always dress according to a particular aesthetic. Her mood and the occasion play a part, as does the need to feel comfortable, confident and feminine. Sometimes, a simple change of colour is enough. “If I’m feeling a little down, I wear pink. It’s a colour I love, and it always makes me feel happier.” Bags and shoes are another favourite. She enjoys the difference they can make to an outfit, even when everything else is kept simple. Chanel is the fashion house she particularly loves, and a beautiful bag is often the finishing touch she looks for.
The Men’s Style She Appreciates
Corinna has equally clear preferences when it comes to men’s fashion. The first thing she notices is how clothes fit and whether the man wearing them looks comfortable. She has a particular appreciation for a classic combination. “I’ve always loved a very elegant man in a well-cut suit and a white shirt. There’s something timeless and attractive about that combination.” She isn’t especially interested in complicated outfits or following fashion for its own sake. What appeals to her is a man who understands what suits him and feels confident wearing it. “A few well-chosen pieces can look incredibly stylish.”
I appreciate a man who knows what suits him and wears it with confidence. He doesn’t need a complicated outfit to catch my attention.
But that doesn’t mean she only appreciates formal dressing. Jeans, sneakers, a white T-shirt and an open casual shirt are just as appealing to her. “As much as I love a suit, jeans, sneakers, a white T-shirt and a casual shirt worn open can absolutely win me over! It’s relaxed, effortless and very attractive.” And perhaps that is the simplest way to understand her taste. She appreciates someone who can move comfortably between different occasions, much as she enjoys doing with her own wardrobe. “Clearly, I like a man who can do both: dress beautifully for dinner and look just as good on a casual Sunday.”
